Neurofeedback

Neurofeedback (also called EEG biofeedback) is a powerful intervention that gives the brain direct training by allowing it to observe its own activity.   This is like the brain looking in a mirror at itself, creating better ways of self-regulating.  These new patterns are reinforced as we continue to train the brain until the brain is able to hold onto them permanently.

It is non-invasive and useful for a wide variety of symptoms, including ADHD, sleep disorders, panic attacks, developmental trauma, and  mood disregulation.  Learn more about neurofeedback here.

Peak Performance

Neurofeedback is also a great tool for those wanting better focus and higher performance level.  This can be anyone from professional athletes to high power executives.

My Neurofeedback Process

Depending on the specific needs of the client, I may use neurofeedback along with talk therapy or as a standalone treatment.  If you have a therapist, I am happy to work with them to collaborate on treatment planning.  After a thorough intake assessment, together we will choose symptoms to track over the course of treatment to be able to follow your progress.

Your role as the client is to be tuned in during the 24 hours following session to know how a specific protocol has impacted you.  This is crucial information that I will use to find the protocol that your brain will like best.  It is essential to prioritize at least weekly sessions for the first 10 sessions.  Some clients choose to come in more often to expedite progress.  The number of sessions varies greatly depending on the individual, but I see all clients for at LEAST 20 sessions.
